PKUSZ Graduate Student Union holds joint work conference

Sept. 14

The Graduate Student Union of PKUSZ on September 14 held a joint work conference, meeting with student unions of various schools at PKUSZ. The meeting aims to further integrate the distinctive campus culture and better serve the students and faculty of PKUSZ.

SUDP Graduate Student Union breaks the ice, hands over work

Sept. 19

On September 19, School of Urban Development and Planning (SUDP) Graduate Student Union held its work handover conference and ice-breaking activity, where new members introduced themselves and heads of various departments shared their work experience and work plans.

2023 PKUSZ Student Associations Exhibition concludes

Sept. 19

On September 19, 14 student clubs and associations at PKUSZ held their 2023 exhibition by the Mirror Lake. They each prepared fun activities and games, providing a new way for students to learn more about the student associations.

PKUSZ Physical Culture Festival on its way

Sept. 25

From September 25, PKUSZ will kick off its 2023 Physical Culture Festival, lasting for over a month. The event covers 10 categories of sports such as track and field, swimming, and rock climbing.

PKUSZ to hold 2023 new student welcoming show

Sept. 27

On September 27, PKUSZ will hold an evening show to welcome new students. The show will last for two hours, according to PKUSZ Student Union, and the registration has already opened.

PKUSZ to hold cooking competition

Sept. 27

On September 27, from 17:00 to 19:00, PKUSZ will hold a cooking competition at the Building G Square. Ten participating groups will be allowed to compete, with no more than three students or faculties included in each. The competition is now calling for application.

Transition from Summer to Autumn – the Qiu Fen

Sept. 23

Autumn Equinox, also known as "Qiu Fen" in Chinese, marks the transition from summer to autumn. In Chinese culture, Autumn Equinox holds great significance as it is believed that on this day, the yin energy begins to overpower the yang energy, the latter of which represents brightness and warmth.

Jeffrey Lehman: 

Tacking into the wind

At the time of the 15th anniversary of the founding of School of Transnational Law (STL), Jeffrey Lehman, the founding dean, shared his original aspiration. He mentioned that challenges have always been present, but the momentum to move forward is unstoppable.

Ji Haodong: 

Breaking boundaries, thriving towards the Sun

Prof. Ji Haodong from School of Environment and Energy (SEE) recently shared his perspective on the misconception of certain academic disciplines and emphasized the importance of knowledge acquisition and a proactive mindset, encouraging students to embrace their unique journey in PKUSZ and remain focused on their goals.

Zhou Hang: 

Exploring, Disrupting, and Innovating Across Multiple Dimensions

Prof. Zhou Hang from School of Electronic and Computer Engineering (SECE) shared his journey of transformation among different dimensions. He refined the light of PKU master scholar predecessors, constantly pioneering, subverting during his journey of transformation in PKUSZ.

Ma Xiao wins 2023 WTO Essay Award for Young Economists

On September 14, Assistant Professor Ma Xiao from Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS) was conferred with the 2023 WTO Essay Award for Young Economists with his paper titled College Expansion, Trade, and Innovation: Evidence from China.

Yang Shihe Group makes significant progress

Prof. Yang Shihe's research group from School of Chemical Biology and Biotechnology (SCBB), along with co-researchers, published an article titled Engineering Cu(I)/Cu(0) interfaces for efficient ethanol production from CO2 electroreduction, making significant progress regarding the field.
